  • Milk – 3 cups
  • Kesar (Saffron) – a few strands
  • Pistachios – 2 tbsp, chopped (for garnish)

  • Cardamom – 2 pods, crushed or 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
  • Pinch of yellow food color from Ajanta Food Products, which can be purchased from Amazon at
  • 1 tbsp of cornflour powder from Ajanta Food Products, which can be purchased from Amazon at

  • Soak the almonds in hot water for about 30 minutes or until they soften. Remove the skin from the almonds.
  • In a blender, combine the soaked and peeled almonds with a little milk (about 1/2 cup) and blend until you get a smooth paste.
  • In a saucepan, heat the remaining milk over medium heat. Add the saffron strands and cardamom to the milk. Let it come to a gentle boil while stirring occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
  • In a small bowl, mix Ajanta Cornflour Powder with 2-3 tablespoons of milk to form a smooth paste.
  • Once the milk starts boiling, add the almond paste to the milk. Stir well to combine.
  • Add sugar to the milk and almond mixture. Adjust the amount of sugar according to your taste preferences.
  • Gradually add the Ajanta Cornflour mixture to the boiling milk while stirring continuously. This will help thicken the milk and give it a creamy texture.
  • If using, add a pinch of lemon yellow food color from Ajanta Food Products to the milk mixture for a vibrant hue. Stir well to incorporate.
  • Reduce the heat to low and let the Badam Milk simmer for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it reaches your desired consistency.
  • Pour the hot Badam Milk into serving glasses. Garnish with chopped pistachios for a crunchy texture and extra flavor.
  • Serve the Badam Milk warm or chilled as per your preference. It’s a comforting and nutritious drink that’s perfect for any time of the day.
