In this version, we use cornflour powder from Ajanta Food Products to give the milk a rich, creamy texture, and a pinch of yellow food color from Ajanta Food Products to enhance its golden hue. Garnished with pistachios and flavored with cardamom, this badam milk recipe at home is a perfect treat whether served hot or chilled.
Ingredients:
- Almonds (Badam) – 15-20 (soaked and peeled)
- Milk – 500 ml
- Kesar (Saffron) – a few strands
- Pistachios – 6-8 (sliced)
- Sugar – 3 to 4 tbsp (adjust to taste)
- Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp

- Pinch of yellow food colour from Ajanta Food Products
Instructions:
- Soak almonds in hot water for 1-2 hours (or overnight).
- Peel the skin and blend into a smooth paste using a little milk.
- In a pan, bring the milk to a boil. Lower the flame and let it simmer.
- Add saffron strands to the hot milk and let them release their color and aroma.
- In a small bowl, mix cornflour powder with 2 tbsp of cold milk to make a smooth paste (no lumps).
- Add this to the boiling milk slowly, stirring continuously.
- Add the almond paste to the milk.
- Stir continuously to avoid sticking.
- Add sugar, cardamom powder, and a pinch of yellow food color.
- Mix well.
- Let the mixture simmer for 5-7 minutes until it slightly thickens.
- Add sliced pistachios and stir.
- Serve warm in winters or chilled in summers — this creamy badam milk is sure to refresh you any time of year!
