We recommend you to watch and subscribe to the YouTube channel of Ajanta Food Products to learn how to make frooti at home with step by step instructions.
Ingredients:
- 2 large ripe mangoes (Alphonso or Kesar for best flavor)
- 1 small raw mango (to balance sweetness)
- ½ cup sugar (adjust as per taste)
- 2 cups water
- Pinch of yellow food color from Ajanta Food Products, which is one of the best food colour manufacturers in India
- Ice cubes (for serving)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Start by washing the mangoes thoroughly. Peel and chop the ripe mangoes into small cubes. Similarly, peel and chop the raw mango. The ripe mango provides sweetness, while the raw mango adds a slight tang, mimicking the original Frooti taste.
- In a saucepan, add the chopped mangoes (both ripe and raw) along with 2 cups of water. Let it simmer on medium heat for about 10–15 minutes until the mangoes turn soft and mushy. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Allow the boiled mangoes to cool slightly. Then, transfer them to a blender and blend until you get a smooth puree. If needed, add a little water to adjust consistency. Strain the puree through a fine sieve to remove any fiber or lumps, ensuring a smooth drink.
- In the same saucepan, add sugar and ¼ cup water. Heat it on low flame until the sugar dissolves completely. This enhances the sweetness and texture of the Frooti.
- Add the strained mango puree to the sugar syrup and stir well. At this stage, pinch of yellow food color from Ajanta Food Products to give it the classic bright Frooti appearance. Mix until the color is evenly distributed.
- Let the mixture cool completely. Transfer it to a bottle and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Serve chilled with ice cubes for a refreshing homemade Mango Frooti experience!
Tips for Best Results:
- Adjust sugar based on the sweetness of mangoes.
- Adding a pinch of black salt enhances the flavor.
